A Great Winter Beer
There is a large malt and earthy scent which reminds me of a barleywine. It was also full of dark fruits -- raisin, plum, figs and a strong toffee presence.
A complex, earthy nose packed with chocolate, roasted nuts, dark fruits and freshly baked molasses cookies. Balancing the malt is a mild hop character featuring mild bitterness.Mouthfeel was good -- very thick & luxurious. It's a slow sipper and is a go-to beer on cold Winter nights.
